Pygmy Bamboo (Pleioblastus pygmaeus)
One of the smallest bamboos; very useful as a ground cover or mass planting. Vigorous running type, so make sure you put it in the right place! Grows to 2 feet tall, but can also be mowed as short as 6" for an extremely fine-textured mass planting. commonly used as a bonsai subject - beautiful!
- USE FOR: Mass planting, mixed grass and perennial borders, driveway edging, near water features and mixed among boulders.
