Floriferous flowers open yellow and turn a range of colors from vivid red, to hot orange as they age. Red Sunset is a compact hardy plant. A vigorous Potentilla with attractive soft green foliage. Deer and rabbit resistant.

USE FOR: Front of border plant, mixed with perennial plants, along walkways or in containers.

CULTURAL NOTES: Plant Potentilla in a full sun location for best results. While Potentilla shrubs will tolerate heavy soil, they thrive in well drained soil with consistent irrigation throughout the growing season. The flowers are borne on the tips of new growth. Shear back Potentilla in the spring for shape, and prune out any dead-wood.
