Deep green foliage serves as the backdrop for the pure white heart-shaped flowers that gracefully hang from slender arching stems.  A wonderful addition to any shade garden. Spectabilis type Bleeding Hearts go dormant in the heat of the summer, to re-emerge in the fall for a second display of color.

CULTURAL NOTES: Plant in well-drained soil in part shade, to full shade. Bleeding Hearts prefer moist, organic rich soils. Remove faded flowers to promote new buds to form. Except in the cooler summer zones, the foliage usually goes dormant in the heat of the summer, to re-emerge in the fall.
