Mostly evergreen, round, leathery leaves with undulating edges. Spectacular reddish fall and winter color. Lovely magenta blooms above glossy green foliage are a welcome sight in spring. Very striking in mass plantings or used as an edging along a walkway. Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions and is happy in both both sun or shade in rich garden soil. Deer and rabbit resistant.
