Aquilegia Chrysantha 'Denver Gold' (Columbine) 1 Gallon Pot

Denver Gold Columbine is a striking golden-yellow hybrid variety of the golden Columbine that is native to the Southern Rockies. Aquilegia Denver Gold has large, strong golden yellow flowers that can measure over 3" across with even longer spurs. Blooms are borne on stiff, upright stems that hold the large flowers upright in the garden. As with all Aquilegia or Columbines, Denver Gold prefers compost-enriched soil with regular irrigation and protection from the afternoon sun. Grown and shipped in a 1 gallon nursery trade container. CULTURAL NOTES: Columbines hybridize readily in the garden, so try planting individual colors at least 20 feet away from each other to preserve their individuality over the years. NOMENCLATURE NOTES: 'Aquilegia' ( "Eagle's claw", referring to the flower morphology)
